  1. This paper provides further support for the observation that use of statins is associated with a lower risk of AD. Specifically, this paper reduces the possibility that the negative correlation between statin use and AD is due to the a spurious outcome of doctor prescribing characteristics, rather than a real action of statins on some aspect of the pathophysiology of AD.
