The data in this paper fit with the body of evidence showing that neurons in selected regions of the AD brain enter the cell cycle. These data further indicate how far some neurons may progress through the cell cycle. It would be interesting to know whether there are properties that distinguish neurons that enter the cell cycle or whether this is a stochastic event.
