The beauty of this study is that Reitz et al. tested multiple cognitive domains and multiple brain regions in assessing the relationship(s) between plaques, NFT and neuropil threads and cognitive status. Their conclusion that these relationships are dependent on the brain region studied should serve to guide future studies.
