This is an interesting study on the co-localization of tau and alpha-synuclein in the amygdala and the olfactory bulb in 'AD/ALB'. What I find also very interesting is that although tau and alpha-synuclein form filaments in the same cells, they do not form co-polymers, which is different from in-vitro studies that have shown some form of cross-seeding.
