Description
Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to join the interdisciplinary team in the Section of Comparative Medicine. This faculty member must have experience and/or interest in nonhuman primate models.
Requirements
- Terminal degree (i.e., D.V.M., Ph.D., D.O., Pharm.D., M.D.).
- Experience and/or interest in nonhuman primate models.
- Plans for obtaining extramural research funding commensurate with rank as it will be expected that the successful candidate will maintain an independent, extramurally funded research program following a start-up period.
- Track record of research accomplishments and/or publications commensurate with rank.
- Strong quantitative, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ideal candidates will have experience teaching and mentoring graduate students/postdoctoral fellows as well as facilitating complex biomolecular and biostatistical analyses; familiarity with animal and cellular imaging modalities; microbiome in the context of disease pathogenesis; and/or molecular and cellular pathology.
