Bio

Prof. Mark Jenkinson was born in Adelaide, Australia where he obtained first class Honours degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, as well as Mathematical Physics. His doctoral work was done in the Unversity of Oxford in the area of Computer Vision. After this he moved into medical imaging and joined the FMRIB centre where his research has concentrated on structural MRI analysis, structural-functional relationships, and correction of MR artefacts. Prof. Jenkinson is also co-founder and principal developer of the FSL software package, used in over 1000 laboratories worldwide. He is currently Head of the Structural Image Analysis Group at the FMRIB Centre.
