Bio

I am currently investigating the role of reactive astrocytes in Alzheimer's disease within a project led by Dr Magdalena Sastre, funded by Alzheimer's Research UK.

I have particular interest in the role that astrocytes play in APP processing and degrading of amyloid at different stages of disease pathology in Tg mouse models of AD. I have expertise in using a variety of behavioural tasks to test hippocampal-dependent/-independent memory.
