The research fellow will perform research investigating disease pathways in Alzheimer’s Disease and other tauopathies (PSP, CTE, etc). The fellow will obtain advanced training in human and mouse neuropathology, cell biology/culture, structure and function analysis of tau, and animal modeling. The Mayo environment will further provide opportunities to extend these experiments into human studies (e.g. biomarker development).
The Petrucelli laboratory is part of Mayo’s Alzheimer’s disease Center (ADC), Tau Center Without Walls, and C9orf72 Program Project.
Ph.D. in neuroscience or related fields and a career interest in neurodegenerative disease. Preference will be given to applicants with an outstanding publication track record and training/mentoring.
