Description
BBRC is looking for a clinical data analyst with a special interest in research and scientific tasks. This is a full-time position and the person selected will join the neuroimaging research group in the context of the European PROMINENT project and will report to the neuroimaging group leader.
The PROMINENT clinical data analyst will manage, organize, harmonize, and integrate the different clinical databases of the different partners participating in the consortium (currently eight different clinical databases). The successful candidate will have to provide solutions for consolidation and quality control of the data already existing in different projects leaded by the different partners.
The responsibilities for this position include:
- Select and implement management and harmonization tools for clinical data from various sources.
- Carry out the integration, harmonization, and extraction of data from the different databases of the study partners.
- Develop and implement monitoring and data quality control procedures.
- Ensure an on-time update system for newly entered data.
- Generate qualitative and quantitative reports.
- Generate datasets for analyses of harmonized data.
- Develop and maintain the data structure that covers the needs of the research project.
- Perform scientific data analyses and support the project researchers.
- Write deliverables, scientific publications, etc.
Other details:
- Starting date: ASAP 2023
- Salary will depend on skills/experience and will be in accordance to BBRC’s salary scales.
- The estimated duration of contract is five years, in line with the PROMINENT project duration.
- Full-time position, 38 hours per week.

Requirements
Required qualifications and professional experience:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in data science, analytics, or big data (this position could be cover by a postdoc with a Ph.D. in data science or could eventually allow the realization of a Ph.D. within the PROMINENT project).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Expertise with clinical data.
- Experience in the development of loading, cleaning, and harmonization processes.
- Experience in integration and harmonization of clinical data.
- Experience in data mining and knowledge of data mining tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages.
