The laboratory of Dr. Melissa E. Murray is seeking a highly organized, personable candidate to coordinate the logistics of the translational neuropathology lab at Mayo Clinic. The role of the program coordinator will be to provide wide-ranging support regarding budgeting, manuscript submission, IRB-related tasks, curriculum vitae, travel, and agenda/calendar management.

Preference is given to the candidate who has previous experience with budgetary adherence of grants and management of personnel effort; manuscript submission of documents to scientific journals and accession NIH-funded articles to PubMed Central; preparation of IRB paperwork and filing; management of scientific curriculum vitae and related digital archiving programs (Re-AIMS, ORCID, Scopus); organization of air, hotel, and scheduling for travel; reimbursement using Concur system; assistance with organization of project-related meetings; and/or working knowledge of clinical and neuropathologic documentation.


Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five years of administrative assistant experience, business, or education-related experience.

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications (Has Achieved: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Capabilities required include exposure to cultural and organizational diversity; role model for Mayo Clinic values; good communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated success in a customer service role; capability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; and strong organizational skills.
