Postdoctoral Researcher in Alzheimer Molecular Imaging
Posted 24 May 2019
The Translational Molecular Imaging Lab of Professor Agneta Nordberg at Karolinska institutet has a strong translational approach on in vivo molecular and in vitro brain imaging techniques. Its aim is to characterize the complex pathophysiological features of neurodegenerative diseases, with a strong focus on Alzheimer disease but also other neurodegenerative proteinopathies. The lab develops new early diagnostic markers and new drug targets for early intervention in disease processes.
The lab is looking for a talented and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with interest in participating in multi-tracer in vivo PET studies measuring different pathological markers including beta amyloid and tau deposition, astrocytosis, and, combined with cognitive tests, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers and MRI. The lab seeks a person with experience in brain neuroimaging. The candidate should be able to conduct advanced image data processing/analysis (Freesurfer, SPM and FSL) and have statistical knowledge.
