An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Ohno Lab at the Center for Dementia Research. The lab is currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow who is interested in investigating the mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related cognitive impairments, aiming to develop disease-modifying therapeutic interventions. The project includes molecular and biochemical analyses, pathologies, signaling pathways, synaptic function, and behavioral testing of genetically engineered mouse models of AD. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree and a strong background in research using microscopy and protein assay techniques such as western blotting, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry. Experience in the neurobiology of neurodegenerative disease, animal models, behavioral assays, and/or electrophysiology is an advantage. The candidate should have an excellent track record of productivity evidenced by high-quality publications.
