Tufts University is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral research fellows to join the lab of Giuseppina Tesco and Philip Haydon in the Department of Neuroscience to study synaptic alteration in Alzheimer's disease patient-derived brain cells both in vitro and in vivo.
Primary responsibilities include surgical or technical procedures on animals, physiological recordings of local field potentials and, potentially whole cell recordings. Applicants with additional skills including confocal microscopy, experience with neuronal cultures and mouse models, cellular and molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
Applicants must also be fluent in spoken and written English.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and the ability to independently generate precise, reliable data and interpret them. Candidate should have a record of research that can be applied to the fields of interest, with a strong publication record.
