The Alzheimer’s Center at Temple, Lewis Katz School of Medicine, is seeking a highly motivated, creative and passionate individual to work on neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and related dementias such as tauopathies.
The candidate will join a highly active research program within the research center aimed at discovering molecular and cellular mechanisms relevant to neurodegeneration.
She/he will work toward development of independent scientific ideas and postdoctoral appropriate grants (e.g., K award), with a long-term goal of independent investigator status.
Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, less than four years of postdoctoral experience, interest in neurodegenerative diseases, and documented experience and skills in areas such as cell biology, biochemistry, molecular neurobiology, and behavioral studies. They should have a strong publication record with first authorship in high-quality publications and demonstrated independent writing skills.
Prior experience in Alzheimer’s diseases or related neurological disease research is desirable.
