Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter, current CV, and names and contact information for three references to: Jiri.Safar
The laboratory of Jiri Safar in the Department of Pathology at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (CWRU) has a postdoctoral position available under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants to study structural biology of Alzheimer’s disease. The goal of the study is to determine the structure and key chemical modifications causing the formation and accumulation of distinct prion-like strains of misfolded tau proteins and Aβ in various phenotypes of Alzheimer’s disease.
The project would be ideally suited for postdoctoral fellows with no more than five years after Ph.D. and experience in either cryo-electron microscopy, biochemistry, or structural biology of Aβ and tau proteins.
