Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter, current CV, and names and contact information for three references to: Jiri.Safar@case.edu
The laboratory of Jiri Safar in the Department of Pathology at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (CWRU) has a postdoctoral position open to study the structural biology of Alzheimer’s disease. The goal is to determine key molecular machines or chemical modifications that are critical for the differential toxicity and accumulation of various misfolded tau and amyloid beta strains, and identification of potential co-factors involved in modulating the uptake and propagation of distinct strains from cell-to-cell.
The project would be ideally suited to a postdoctoral fellows with Ph.D. or nearing Ph.D., and with experience in molecular and structural biology of Aβ and tau proteins.
