Postdoctoral Fellow Position

The Translational Neuropathology laboratory of Melissa Murray is seeking outstanding applicants for a fully funded postdoctoral position to research genetic underpinnings of clinicopathologic heterogeneity of Alzheimer’s disease. The lab is seeking candidates with expertise in RNA sequencing, NanoString instrumentation, and/or NeuroX2/NeuroChip. The primary project will be to design a blood-based biomarker utilizing differential gene expression signatures identified in the brain. The secondary project will utilize NeuroX2/NeuroChip data to uncover variants enriched in Alzheimer's disease subtypes. The laboratory is a highly productive setting that will ensure many opportunities for presentations and publications.
- A Ph.D. graduate.
- Experience in neurodegenerative research preferred.
- Must have a publication history and strong scientific writing skills.
- English proficiency is required for J-1 short-term scholars, research scholars, professors, and specialists.
