A postdoctoral position is available to study structural biology and molecular mechanisms of amyloid-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and prion diseases. Potential projects include structural studies of Aβ oligomers and fibrils using EPR and cryoEM, mechanistic studies of Aβ aggregation using aggregation kinetics and single-molecule methods, and interactions between Aβ and brain tissues using super-resolution microscopy.
This position is available immediately.
For consideration, the candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a strong record of peer-reviewed publications. Prior experience in microscopy on human tissues or single molecule studies is highly preferred.
Prospective candidates should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about science, with an ability to think creatively and work independently.
