The Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience and Department of Neuroscience at the University of Rochester invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank whose research program offers innovative approaches to the study of Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative dementias. As part of an ongoing expansion in neuroscience across the university, the institute seeks exceptional applicants to develop and grow outstanding research programs that focus on basic and translational questions related to disease propagation and neural dysfunction. Areas of particular interest include tau biology, neuroinflammation, and glial cell biology in animal models.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and mentoring at the graduate level. Ph.D., M.D.-Ph.D., and M.D. applicants are encouraged to apply; for applicants pursuing part-time clinical activities, co-appointment in an appropriate clinical department is possible.
