Two NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available immediately for highly motivated individuals to participate in Alzheimer's disease research. Successful candidates will investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of AD risk factors, and AD-associated synaptic abnormalities using transgenic and knockout mouse models as well as rodent primary cultures and human iPSC-derived neurons and glia.

Ambitious scientists will avail themselves of the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and train with experienced molecular, cellular, and translational neuroscientists investigating various aspects of the nervous system function and dysfunction.


Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or MD. / Ph.D. in a related field and have a strong background in synaptic physiology or advanced microscopy applications. Only candidates with demonstrated experience in super-resolution / live-cell imaging, neuronal protein trafficking, genomics/proteomics/ bioinformatics, or iPSC technology, by way of at least one publication, will be considered for these positions. Preference will be given to candidates with interdisciplinary training and a strong publication record. Researchers with substantial postdoctoral experience will be considered for an appropriate level of appointment.
