Job Title: Postdoctoral Positions in Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Disease Research
Employer: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
Description: The Center for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases at UT Southwestern seeks applications from highly motivated scientists with a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree and relevant research experience for up to three research positions at the postdoctoral level. Successful candidates will have the opportunity of continuing and developing cutting edge research into the molecular basis of Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia in the laboratories of Joachim Herz and Gang Yu, Departments of Molecular Genetics, Neuroscience and Neurology and Neurotherapeutics. Ongoing work addresses the biology of Progranulin, TDP-43, FUS, ApoE4, γ-secretase, synaptic dysfunction and neuromodulation, vesicular transport and translational applications to neurodegenerative disorders.

Requirements: Candidates should have demonstrated experience in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and genetic mouse models, as well as an ability to work independently and creatively. Experience with genomic approaches or drug discovery is a plus (but not absolutely required).
