Job Title: Postdoctoral Position in Parkinson's Disease
Employer: National Institute on Aging (NIA), Bethesda, Maryland
Description: A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Dr. Huaibin Cai's laboratory in the Transgenics Section of the Laboratory of Neurogenetics at the National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) located in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Cai's research focuses on understanding the key molecular pathways critical for the function and survival of nigral dopaminergic neurons in Parkinson's disease.
Requirements: Applicants should have experience with gene expression, signaling transduction, or neurobiology. Applicants must have received a PhD, within the last 3 years, have strong interest in Parkinson's disease and aging research and have abilities to conduct independent research and work cooperatively with other scientists. Applicant will work in an exciting and collegial environment with the opportunities to interact closely with a number of other groups with related research interests in aging and age-related diseases. The position will be funded for 2-5 years with a competitive postdoctoral salary including health benefits for the family.
