Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate
Employer: The Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute, Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California
Description: A Postdoctoral Research Associate position available in the laboratory of Prof. Berislav Zlokovic, M.D., PhD. The laboratory is recognized internationally for research contributions in Alzheimer's disease and stroke, and has also interest in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. State-of-the-art imaging, and cellular and molecular methods for studies of brain vascular and neuronal functions are available.
Requirements: Research background in cell biology, neurobiology, molecular biology. Experience in blood-brain barrier models preferred, but not required. Candidates should have greater than 3 years' experience or training in techniques of molecular cloning (including directional cloning, viral vector design and creating of transgenic mice), in vitro cell culture. Experience in confocal or multiphoton microscopy imaging analysis preferred.
