Conference: 9th Annual Mild Cognitive Impairment Symposium

Description: The Wien Center for Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach invites you to join us at the fabulous and renovated Eden Roc for two days of mini-symposia by national and international experts. The theme of the 2011 Symposium will be: “New Criteria for Prodromal and Preclinical Alzheimer’s Disease.”

Four travel stipends, covering transportation, lodging and meeting registration will be awarded to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows or young investigators. The application deadline for the stipends is February 18 see the meeting web-site for more information.

Next-generation AD research leaders out there—you are wanted at this meeting. Fresh out of funds? Then quick, apply for one of the four travel stipends available before the deadline expires Friday, 18 February. On 29-30 April, Bruno Dubois, Anne Fagan, John Morris, Chris Rowe, Reisa Sperling, Pieter Visser and many other speakers will lay out the new diagnostic criteria for prodromal and preclinical AD, and discuss the field's current push to move AD diagnosis farther to the left on the timeline, where scientists hope patients may prove more responsive to therapy.
