Conference: 8th International Conference on Frontotemporal Dementias
Date: 5-7 September 2012
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom
Contact: Web site: http://www2.kenes.com/ftd2012/Pages/Home.aspx?ref1=db1
Description: The International Conference on Frontotemporal Dementias provides clinicians and researchers with a platform for exchanging knowledge about the latest developments in FTD. The multidisciplinary program will address clinical diagnosis, management and care, epidemiology and neuropsychology, as well as other disciplines. The FTD conference will also feature a one day caregiver programme directed to family members/FTD caregivers designed to provide education and offer support to those in close contact with this currently untreatable degenerative brain disease.

(FTD 2012) is an innovative and influential conference that will serve to draw together researchers and clinicians from all over the world who are united by a passion to understand causation, develop rational therapies and improve management and care of patients suffering from frontotemporal dementia and related conditions.

Frontotemporal dementia is the second most common form of dementia affecting younger people. It has a devastating personal impact on families, places an enormous economic burden on society and has worldwide significance. The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of information, where scientific collaborations can be hatched and where new information is at the forefront.
