Transgene/Mutation: Mice overexpress human tau 1N2R cDNA with tau mutations (G272V
and P301S) under control of the Thy 1.2 promoter. Mice are fertile with normal frequency,
size of litters and stably transmits transgene to offspring.
Neuropathological Analysis:
Phenotype memory deficits. Neurofibrillary tangles, PHF and ptau at epitopes MC1,
AT100, pS422, 12E8, PHF/AD2, AT8, AT180, AT270. Tau pathology starting in the hippocampus.
Behavioral:
No motor deficit until more than 2 years old.
Terms and Conditions: Available for academic research but not for private companies.
Exclusive MTA already signed with a pharmaceutical company.
