Transgene: Transgene bearing full-length wt hRAGE driven by the platelet-derived
growth factor (PDGF) β-chain promoter was constructed and subcloned into the
6apc1 vector and injected into mouse B6CBAF1/J oocytes and then implanted into pseudopregnant
females that were subsequently mated with B6CBAF1/J males. The mice were termed
Tg RAGE (or Tg wtRAGE).
Mutation: PDGF-β promoter
Mouse strain: C57BL/6
Neuropathological analysis
Receptor for Advanced Glycation Endproducts (RAGE). Tg RAGE mice have overexpression
of transgene from cerebral cortex.
Behavioral
Tg RAGE mice show normal gross development, reproductive fitness and lifespan
