General Information

Transgene: Inactivated Mouse APP gene/ PGKneo targeting vector/AB2.1 ES cells by homologous recombination.

Mutation: Targeted mutation

Mouse strain: B6.129S7-Apptm1Dbo /J

Phenotype

Neuropathological Analysis:

At birth no APP gene product detected. Evidence of reactive gliosis, 14 weeks.

Behavioral

Homozygous mice are viable, no physical or behavioral abnormalities at birth, 14 weeks. Decreased locomotor activity, 14 weeks. Lesser forelimb grips, 14 weeks. Decreased body mass, 14 weeks. Spontaneous seizures, 14 weeks.
