AlzSWAN is a community-driven knowledge base of Alzheimer disease that enables researchers to submit and annotate scientific hypotheses, claims, data, and information, putting these into the context of testable hypotheses and treatment discovery. The system is powered by SWAN (Semantic Web Application in Neuromedicine), which uses Semantic Web technology, to tie together statements made in scientific publications or on the Web to scientific evidence, biological terminologies, and knowledge bases, and to claims and counterclaims made by other researchers.
