An interesting paper, although the results are difficult to interpret clearly. At face value these data suggest alpha-synuclein fibrillization could impair axonal transport in PD as well as in AD patients, since more than half of AD patients have Lewy bodies and the Lewy body variant of AD is the most common variant of sporadic AD.
