  1. Smiley et al. use histological methods to describe a unique population of infracortical interstitial cells that have m2 muscarinic receptors and contain cholinesterase in the human and monkey cortex. This information is a useful addition to other neuroanatomical data which collectively are needed for a better understanding of the way God has organized the primate cerebral cortex. It is not clear whether this information will have any direct bearing on an understanding of AD but all such information is useful.
