  1. The MC1 antibody produced by Dr Peter Davies may be more sensitive than Alz-50 for tracing early conformational changes in tau in this cohort of AD and control cases. Given the success of the various mutant tau transgenic mice, it may be worthwhile expressing the C-terminally truncated Glu-391 tau isoform recognized by mab 423 in transgenic mice, to determine whether it does cause neurofibrillary pathology.
