REAGENTS/MATERIAL:

Tau Transgenic mice overexpressing isoform T44 were used to generate lines 7, 27 and 43. For this study only mice from heterozygous line 7 were used.

Mouse brain sections were stained with anti-NF antibodies DP1, RMd09, RM024, RM055, RM0189 and polyclonal NFL. They were also stained for monoclonal anti-atubulin (Santa Cruz) and -b tubulin (Sigma); anti-a internexin (Chemicon) and anti-peripherin (Chemicon).

Western blots were probed with anti-tau monoclonal antibodies T14, T1,T46, T49 and polyclonal 17026; anti-phosphorylated tau monoclonal antibodies PHF1, PHF6, AT8, AT270, 12E8 and polyclonal T3P.
