	I recommend this paper This paper corroborates that tauopathies can be described as a code-bar (triplet in AD, upper doublet in PSB and CBD, lower doublet in PiD, lower singulet in DM, and more to come...) that reflects the aggregation of specific sets of tau isoforms, and likely the involvement of specific neuronal populations. REAGENTS/MATERIAL:

Tissue sections were immunostained for insoluble pathological tau proteins by a standard immunoperoxidase method using the phospho-dependent tau antibody AT8 (1:750) (Innogenetics, Belgium). AT8 antibody is raised against the phosphorylated Ser 202/Thr 205 epitope and immunoreacts with PHF-tau in AD. Other sets of sections were stained with the 3R-tau specific monoclonal antibody RD3 (1:3000; Upstate, Dundee, UK) and the 4R-tau specific monoclonal antibody ET3 (gift of P. Davies, 1:100)
