REAGENTS/MATERIAL:

Aged APP23 tg mice were used in this study.

Antibodies used were monoclonal Ab antibody 4G8 (Senetek); polyclonal anti-BDNF antibody (Santa Cruz Biotechnology); anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) antibody (Dako); and ionized calcium-binding adaptor molecule 1 (Iba1) antibody (gift of Dr. Yoshinori Imai). For Western Blots Ab peptides were detected using 6E10 antibody (Signet Laboratories, Dedham, MA).
