Tissues immunostained with rabbit antisera to Plk 1:50 followed by the peroxidase-antiperoxidase method with 3,3'-diaminobenzidine (Sternberger LA, editor. Immunocytochemistry. 3rd ed. New York: Wiley, 1986) Antiserum to phosphorylated tau (AT8) described in McShea et al.

FUTURE DIRECTION:
Plk's entry to nucleus, whether through an associate proteins that are not present in the neurons, or through a specific mechanisms in post-mitotic neurons that actively exclude polo-type kinases from the nucleus.
