REAGENTS/MATERIAL:

Raised purified high affinity polyclonal antibodies to regions of human parkin and used them to stain Lewy bodies. Anti-parkin HP2A (aa 342-353, parkin co-localized with alphaS in subset of brainstem Lewy bodies found in PD and dementia with Lewy bodies. Anti-parkin HP1A (aa 84-98).

Immunoprecipitation and immunoblotting used either HP1A or HP2A antibodies and alphaS antibodies syn-1 and LB509 or anti-UbcH7.
