Studied a large cohort (n = 49) of PDAPP mice homozygous (+/+) for the APPV717F transgene, all of which were 12 to 13 months of age. These mice begin to exhibit Ab and amyloid deposition in the brain at ~3 to 6 months of age. For the study each mouse received an intravenous (i.v.) injection of monoclonal antibody m266 (500 µg). Plasma samples from each animal were then obtained 5 min and 1, 3, 6, and 24 hours later. In each plasma sample, levels of Ab40 and Ab42 were assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
