Thirty European Alzheimer's Disease Centers of excellence and one nongovernmental organization, Alzheimer Europe, have established a network to carry out multicentre interventional trials under the auspices of the European Commission. The consortium's primary goal is to develop and maintain an organisational structure able to rapidly carry out clinical trials of interventions designed to prevent, slow or ameliorate the primary and secondary symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.
