The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in investigating mechanisms of sleep, memory, and aging in the human brain. The position will employ methods of EEG, fMRI, structural MRI, and PET neuroimaging to identify key the mechanisms underlying sleep disruption, aging, and impaired cognition.

The anticipated start date for this appointment is early 2017. The initial appointment is for 12 months, with renewal based on performance and funding. This is a full-time appointment.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and based on the UC Berkeley postdoc salary scale. The annual salary range for this position is $48,216 to $56,400, depending on year of existing postdoctoral research experience. Generous benefits are included (


Candidates must have completed all degree requirements except the dissertation or be enrolled in an accredited Ph.D. or equivalent degree program in neuroscience or cognitive neuroscience or related field at the time of application. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated interest and expertise in sleep, neuroimaging, and cognitive neuroscience.
