The Grutzendler lab has an opening for an outstanding, highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to study mechanisms of neurodegeneration. The overall interest of the laboratory is to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of neuro-glial interactions in health and disease. Researchers use high-resolution cellular imaging of single cells or small clusters of interacting cells in live mice combined with novel optical sensors of cellular physiology, optogenetics, chemogenetics, genome editing techniques delivered by viral vectors, or in utero electroporation.
A Ph.D., M.D., or both with a strong track record of training and independent research in cell and molecular neurobiology
Candidates should be recent graduates and have a strong publication record with first authorship in high-quality publications and demonstrated independent writing skills.
