Alzheimer’s Association Online Community
The Alzheimer’s Association Online Community provides a number of forums for caregivers, persons with memory loss, and health professionals. Users can ask questions of care consultants, share stories, read news, and find out more about medications and treatments.

AARP (American Association of Retired Persons)
AARP's caregiving section provides resources on balancing work with caregiving, legal issues, aging, planning, and long distance caregiving.

Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Online
Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Online, a web- and telephone-based education and support network for caregivers of individuals with progressive dementia. Participate in on-line caregiver education and support classes and obtain links to Alzheimer's caregiver resources in your local area.

Alzheimer's Disease International
This section of the Alzheimer Disease International web site is dedicated to caregivers. It provides information on how best look to after someone with dementia, offering practical and helpful advice on many daily tasks and challenges faced by caregivers.

Alzheimer's Spoken Here
The mission of this site is to provide educational materials on the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Target audiences include health care workers, the general public, and all fellow Alzheimer's speakers.

AlzPossible Initiative
An innovative "center without walls" created by the Virginia Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Commission to enable skilled individuals to share their knowledge about best practices in Alzheimer caregiving through this open forum.

American Health Assistance Foundation's Facts on Alzheimer's Disease

The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) has created this public website to provide a comprehensive resource for neurology patients and their families. The site provides the latest information and resources on specific neurologic disorders. The site includes personal stories from Neurology Now®, the AAN’s patient magazine, AAN Practice Guideline summaries providing clinical insight to patients and their families on recent research findings, the popular "Find a Neurologist" search tool, tips on how to prepare for an office visit, and more.

Resources for seniors, families and caregivers. The site features a number of different resources including a supportive caregiver guide to senior health care issues, informative and detailed articles focused on healthy living, and a searchable index of caregivers.

A web site for families, providers, and all interested in caregiving, that offers online workshops, online support (consultations for individuals), and online learning.

Eldercare Online
One of the leading online communities where supportive peers and professionals help caregivers improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers. Provides news, online tools, chat, forums, and more.

Empowering Caregivers
This site provide a wide variety of resources from message boards, chat, an index of caregiver resources, to journal-writing exercises, information on alternative healing, webrings, and more!

Family Caregiver Alliances
Founded in 1977, Family Caregiver Alliance is a community-based nonprofit organization addressing the needs of families and friends providing long-term care at home. The web site has an information clearing house and interviews with leaders in the fields of caregiving.

Healingwell
This site offers resources and interactive tools for caregivers and patients. It features news, articles, message boards and chat rooms, newsletters, books and reviews, and resource directories on Alzheimer's disease and other diseases and disorders.

"I Have Alzheimer Disease"
Part of the Alzheimer Society of Canada Web site, this feature offers information, support and resources to Canadians in the early stages of Alzheimer Disease or a related dementia. The section includes an exciting new resource written by members of early stage support groups in British Columbia. These groups provide a supportive environment where people with Alzheimer Disease and related dementias can talk about their feelings, how their disease affects them and how they cope.

National Alliance for Caregiving
NAC is a non-profit joint venture of the American Society on Aging, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Created in 1996 to support family caregivers of the elderly and the professionals who serve them. The site's Family Care Resource Connection provides reviews and ratings of books, videos, websites, magazines, fact sheets and other resources addressing the range of issues and questions faced by family caregivers.

National Family Caregivers Association
National Family Caregivers Association is a grass root organization created to provide family caregivers with support, information and practical resources.

Pioneer Network
Pioneer Network is working toward developing a new culture of aging where person-directed care offers a relationship-based, values-driven alternative to the institutional model. Learn about Pioneer's aim to promote household living environments—in congregate settings as well as in home and community-based services. The site provides news, conference information, stories, and additional resources.

TheAlzheimerSpouse.com
The mission of this site is to spread the word to AD spouses everywhere that they are not alone in their conflicting emotions, loneliness, pain, and grief. The site includes blogs, message boards, booklists, and information on how to cope with the impact of AD on marriage and partnership.

The University of Washington, Alzheimer's Disease Research Center
Information on health care resources, educational resources and community support for patients and families.

West of Ireland Alzheimers Foundation
The organisation cares for alzheimers patients in Counties Mayo, Galway, and Roscommon of Ireland. The group also organise meetings to help carers share a better understanding of the effect of Alzheimer's Disease on the person suffering and on the families caring for them.
