The center has frozen tissue specimens from more than 500 patients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntington's diseases, tauopathy, and other neurodegenerative disease. Also controls who participated in longitudinal studies during their lifetimes. About 30 frozen specimens and about 50 paraffin blocks of biopsied brain tissue, formalin-fixed, paraformaldehyde-fixed, or cryopreserved. Tissues are collected from whole brain, hemispheres, spinal cord, also fasted CSF.
