Hello,
My name is Stephen Czarnuch and I am a biomedical engineering PhD student at the University of Toronto, Canada. My research looks to develop intelligent assistive technology that help a person with dementia maintain independence and an improved quality of life for as long as possible, while also reducing the stress and burden on people like you who are responsible for general care. Ultimately, the devices look to keep people with dementia in their own homes for as long as possible. To make sure that the devices are actually useful, I think it's important to understand the relationship between caregiver and person with dementia; particularly the daily challenges faced by both. If you have experience caring for a person with dementia (as an informal caregiver) I would greatly appreciate you sharing your experience through my online survey at www.iatslsurvey.org. The survey is simple and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Also, if you are interested in learning more about our research please visit our website at www.iatsl.org or email me at stephen.czarnuch[at]utoronto.ca for more information. Thank you very much for your help! Stephen Czarnuch, PhD Candidate Intelligent Assistive Technology and Systems Lab (IATSL) University of Toronto, Canada |
