Immunogen/Epitope

(epitope around phosphor. Thr231); also sensitive to the conformation of the phosphor. tau

Specificity

tau phosphor. at Thr231; not reactive to normal tau; TG3 epitope (phosphorylated Thr231) is expressed in mitotic cells but not in quiescent cells, suggesting that mitotic phosphoepitopes may lead to conformational changes

Note

conformation- dependent phospho epitopes on tau
